El Dr. Michael Ulrich Wendler Ernst es Profesor Asociado en el área de Rehabilitación Oral y Biomateriales Dentales, con una destacada trayectoria académica que inició como estudiante de pregrado en marzo de 2004 y como académico en abril de 2011. Actualmente se desempeña como Director del Programa de Doctorado en Ciencias Odontológicas y del Programa de Rehabilitación e Implantología (RAI).
 
Su labor docente abarca tanto el pregrado como postgrado. En pregrado imparte asignaturas preclínicas y clínicas dictando contenidos asociados a operatoria dental y biomateriales, así como contenidos sobre comunicación científica. En  postgrado, imparte contenidos sobre biomateriales, metodología de la investigación y comunicación científica. Además, lidera diversos proyectos de investigación, enfocados principalmente en las propiedades biomecánicas de los materiales dentales utilizados en rehabilitación oral e implantología, tanto en contextos clínicos como in vitro. Comprometido con la vinculación con el medio, el Dr. Wendler ha impulsado iniciativas junto a organizaciones estudiantiles y proyectos de voluntariado (VRIM), fortaleciendo el vínculo entre la universidad y la comunidad.
